We are sorry to hear of the passing of Doris-Anne Aitken. Doris-Anne along with her husband Peter spent many years working in the Fair team, especially with her sister Jean.
She started her Fair journey in 1946 when she became a Fairy from Bo’ness Public School, then a Flower Girl in 1951. Her journey didn’t stop there, while attending Bo’ness Academy was chosen to be Queen of the Flower Girls in 1954.
In 1997 had the honour of crowning Queen Ashley Oldham in 1997. Incidentally, Fair Commentator Natalie Wilkinson was Chief Lady in Waiting to Ashley.
Our thoughts are with Peter and family at this sad time.
