Hello everyone,

I still can’t believe that I was elected in January to be the 116th queen of the Bo’ness Children’s Fair, it was a nerve-wracking experience as I waited for the retinue to be chosen.

I feel incredibly grateful for all the amazing opportunities I’ve been given this year. I’ve enjoyed learning about the history of the fair, and I intend to always be a part of supporting it.

I am also proud to have represented Deanburn Primary School and my new school Bo’ness Academy.

One of my highlights was getting a surprise message from Strictly Come Dancing’s Craig Revel Horwood, he is now a fan of our Fair Day, that was crazy, and my dance school loved it! I loved designing my dress with Mrs Li Gorman, and I loved being part of the Bo’ness Town Christmas Light Switch On, the weather was wild that day, but it was still a really special experience. It was almost the best day of the year! I love Christmas and I attend the light switch on every year. I loved being able to share that with Chief Lady Anna, Aaron and Nathan. And I would like to say a massive thank you to Buzzness for the opportunity.

It meant a lot to be part of Remembrance Day. Standing there to honour those who came before us, and who gave so much, was a moment I won’t forget. I was able to honour their memory on the Fair Day too after the Crowning Ceremony with Chairman Frank McGarry. I feel lucky that we live in a community that values kindness, respect, and service to others.

I have made some new friends this year… everyone in the Bo’ness Fair committee has made me feel comfortable and made sure I was OK. I would like to say a special thank you to Frank McGarry, Tom Burns, Maria Ford and Ann Ritchie for spending so much time with me, and a big thank you to the the Deanburn Parent Council. My best new friend this year is Mrs Diane McBride, the lady who crowned me Queen. Diane has spoiled me, cuddled me, and always checked that I was OK. I want to thank Diane and Scott, and their family for everything. Diane was just as excited as I

was to be involved!

I also want to thank the 2023 Queen Lexi for being a great support to me, we were friends before I was elected, and it was lovely to have my friend give me lots of advice. I have been given many gifts, and well wishes from other Bo’ness Queens and I love that I am now part of this special tradition. I hope I can support our 2025 Kinneil School Queen in the same way.

I would like to thank my mum, dad, sister Lola and all our family and friends for everything they did for me and for building me a palace in our garden – I love you all.

I would also like to thank my friends; I loved dancing with you all at the Douglas Park on The Fair Day.

It’s almost Christmas, and I know it’s going to be a great one! I hope Santa spoils everyone in Bo’ness! I want to thank everyone at the Salvation Army for the work you do to make this season brighter for so many people.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year!
